Leadership is the intangible that turns strategy into performance. 1. Leadership paradigm

Similar skills and behaviours are found in all successful organisations, but their relative importance, within the context of the organisation's cultural uniqueness, vary enormously. Pulse Check's starting point is a leadership behaviours paradigm; an ideal profile defined - through interviews, focus groups and quantitative research - by the organisation's own key constituencies.

2. Leadership assessment

Once the paradigm is in place it can be used to profile individual leaders or groups of leaders. Using proprietry 360 degree assessment tools, outputs are based on observations from up to 20 individuals. These outputs then form the basis both of a 'gap analysis' (against the paradigm) for each individual profile; and, in their aggregated form, for a measure of 'leadership capability' within the organisation as a whole
