Pulse Check is designed to help users complete scheduled safety check-ins and notify selected contacts when a check-in is missed. We only collect information needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service.

We use collected information to operate Pulse Check and provide the safety check-in features requested by users.

4. Emergency Contact Information

Users may add emergency contacts to Pulse Check. The user is responsible for ensuring that the contact information is accurate and that they have permission to provide and use the contact information for Pulse Check alerts.

Emergency contact information may be used to send missed check-in alerts, escalation notices, acknowledgement links, and related safety communications.

5. Check-In and Alert Information

Pulse Check stores information related to completed check-ins, missed check-ins, alerts, delivery attempts, escalation activity, and contact acknowledgements.

This information is used to show account history, application analytics, reports, alert status, and safety activity within the application.

6. Notifications

Depending on the settings selected by the user, Pulse Check may send notifications by email, text message, push notification, or other supported communication methods.

Message and data rates may apply to text messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by internet service, mobile carriers, email providers, device settings, or other systems outside Pulse Check's control.

7. Billing and Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by third-party payment providers, including Stripe. Pulse Check does not need to store full payment card numbers in order to provide the application.

Pulse Check may receive limited billing information such as subscription status, plan type, payment status, customer identifiers, and transaction references.

8. Service Providers

Pulse Check may use trusted third-party service providers to support authentication, hosting, databases, email delivery, text messaging, payment processing, monitoring, and other application functions.

These providers may process information only as necessary to perform services on behalf of Pulse Check and according to their own terms and privacy obligations.

  • With emergency contacts selected by the user when an alert is triggered.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Users should maintain a secure password, protect access to their email account and devices, and immediately report suspected unauthorized access.

11. Data Retention

Pulse Check may retain information for as long as an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, or satisfy legal obligations.

Some information may remain in backups or archived records for a limited period after deletion.

Users may review or update many account settings directly within Pulse Check.

  • Update reminder times and timezone settings.
  • Enable or disable available notification methods.
  • Add, edit, disable, or remove emergency contacts.
  • Update contact priority and escalation settings.
  • Manage subscription information through the billing portal.
  • Contact support to request help accessing, correcting, or deleting account information.

13. Account Deletion Requests

Users may request account deletion by contacting Pulse Check support at support@pulse-check.com.

Before completing a deletion request, Pulse Check may need to verify the identity of the account holder. Certain records may be retained when required for legal, fraud prevention, security, billing, or recordkeeping purposes.

14. Children's Privacy

Pulse Check is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate authorization.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact Pulse Check support.

15. Health and Medical Information

Pulse Check is a safety check-in and notification tool. It is not a medical provider, medical device, healthcare facility, emergency dispatch service, or substitute for professional medical care.

Users should not submit detailed medical records, diagnoses, treatment information, insurance information, or other sensitive health information unless a future feature specifically requests and protects that information.

16. Third-Party Links

Pulse Check may contain links to third-party websites, services, or payment pages. Pulse Check is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, availability, or content of third-party services.
